IBM refers to a new "a 3D Internet" of virtual worlds used by businesses and consumers.
IBM CEO, Sam Palmisano, recently gave an address to 7,000 Chinese workers through a 3D on forum. IBM spokesman explained that Big Blue ultimate goal is to create an environment where users can seamlessly navigate between 3D worlds of commercial areas, government and educational sites, "IBM hopes to help drive and build out the next generation Internet," said the spokesman. "One that is open, immersive and 3D."This is exactly what EonExperience is.
DreamWorks Animation announced today its intention to produce all of its films in stereoscopic 3D technology starting in 2009. "I believe that this is the greatest opportunity for movies and for the theatrical exhibition business that has come along in 30 years," said Jeffrey Katzenberg, Chief Executive Officer of DreamWorks Animation. The growth in the number of theaters capable of projecting 3D films has dramatically risen in the past two years. It is expected by 2009 that there will be several thousand screens equipped for 3D.
