EON Reality - EonExperience (EE) and Second life (SL) comparison

Criteria
EonExperience (EE)
Second life (SL)
1. Experience
EE takes the Virtual world to the Next Dimension with Photo Realism, 3D Streaming, Augmented Reality & The Largest 3D library (see sep slide for details)
SL does not support Photo Realism, has limited 3D Streaming, does not support Augmented Reality.

SL has currently significant stability and quality issues (it seems that the current kernel was not designed for larger traffic) & does not provide a realistic large product and 3D library
2. Simplicity
EE provides Fast content creation & smart 3D search Engine ,User rated experiences, (see sep slide for details)

SL does not a provide User rated experiences, the content creation is VERY slow as each object needs to be created from scratch (no import capability and no FAST 3d content builder tool based on LEGO building approach like EE Creator. SL does not have a smart 3D search Engine which makes finding 3d subcomponents difficult

3. Openness & Scalability
EE has an open import interface to 120 formats and partnered with largest 3D library providers (see sep slide for details)

SL does not provide an open import interface to popular existing 3D formats, all content must be developed within SL which takes significant time and prohibits scalability and time to market. SL does not support Multiple publishing formats, Immersive 3D Stereo Displays, digital signage, exhibits etc

4. Business & Revenue Model
Established brand & references, connection with the real world and multiple supporting revenue streams (see sep slide for details) EE provides both a public area (FREE drives traffic), an academic Learning area (Subscriber based) and a corporate catalogue specific Enterprise area (License based with Strong corporate demand for 3D catalogues)
SL corporate references are more experimental & consumer oriented, there is a hesitation from large companies due to SL’s lack of openness and fear for brand association with dating and sometimes even sex on line. Limited connection with the real world and limited supporting revenue streams
